Carla has helped my husband and I so so much. The realities of being new parents came as quite a shock to us and thanks to her support not only is our son benefitting but also mine and my husband’s mental health and happiness. We were really struggling with breastfeeding and our son’s weight wasn’t increasing so we were almost ready to give up (and without her support we almost definitely would have!). Carla helped me to become more effective at breastfeeding by improving the latch and positioning, doing compressions and switch feeding techniques and listening for swallowing. She also totally overhauled our feeding and pumping schedule so that it actually suited us. Her enthusiasm, warmth, positivity and passion for breastfeeding was exactly what we needed to turn our situation around - we feel like we can now enjoy the parenting process, rather than just stumbling through it.

The support provided by Carla was incredible. Our baby was born with a slight tongue tie which made breastfeeding and latching tricky. With Carla's support, we were able to overcome the issue without our baby having to undergo a corrective procedure. So grateful for the wonderful support we received 😊

Carla supported me both antenatally and postnatally and her lovely, kind nature and experience, and advice turned what was a scary and worrying time for us (due to a high-risk pregnancy) into a truly positive and wonderful experience! She was with us every step of the way, and, thanks to her support and guidance our tiny 4lbs 12oz baby girl latched beautifully and absolutely thrived. Despite a brief struggle with recurrent blocked ducts and mastitis, which Carla helped me navigate with care and empathy, we are loving every single feed nearly 10months later. I feel blessed that we have Carla in our lives and I know that so much of the magic and joy in our breastfeeding journey is thanks to her. She truly is an angel of babies and the boob!

Carla is the Angel you need for the pre and post partum period. Her passion for helping women and families in these most important days and weeks is unparalleled. I had awful feeding issues with my first child and Carla was just the support I needed to continue to stay with my intuition and stick with my breastfeeding journey despite everyone else telling me otherwise. Thanks to her I fed two children well into toddlerhood! And she is not just a walking encyclopedia for breastfeeding but has a wealth of knowledge on everything that new parents encounter with the demands of a newborn which can vary so much from family to family. If you are having a baby, a consultation with Carla should be on your must do list.

We cannot recommend Carla enough. She saved our breastfeeding journey. I knew I really wanted to breastfeed my baby girl before she was even born. She arrived in the middle of the pandemic. We went into breastfeeding knowing that it may not be easy. Even so, it was impossible to imagine the challenges that we encountered when trying to establish feeding. Those early days were a blur of nakedness, soreness, cracks, oils, creams, engorgement and hot showers. I was referred through to Carla eventually as I was a couple of weeks in and still having trouble feeding. She immediately put me at ease. She was so bright, bubbly and understanding. Her energy was refreshing in what had already felt like an arduous journey.  She was never in rush. She took the time to understand our personal situation, my body and our baby. She visited our home on multiple occasions. She was determined to see us through. She gave us superb latching advice and physically assisted the latch so that we could learn how to recreate this when she wasn’t there. For us, conquering the latch was a very important part of being able to improve our baby’s feeding. She was such a champion and enthusiast of breastfeeding and was exactly what we needed to keep going when times were tough. She identified a tongue tie and eventually it was decided it needed attention which she facilitated brilliantly. Within 3 days of this, things looked completely different. All the work on the latch came into play because the tongue tie had been removed. I am 10 months in and still breastfeeding my baby. I am forever indebted to Carla for saving my breastfeeding journey and allowing me to have that special experience I so longed for. We love you Carla!!!!!!!!

I was lucky enough to have Carla as my midwife throughout my 3rd pregnancy.

As I gave birth in the middle of a global pandemic I was unsure of what support I would receive postnatally compared to my previous pregnancies.

I needn’t of worried though as Carla has been and still is a fantastic support. After 2 unsuccessful breastfeeding journey’s with my older children I was sure that I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed my 3rd.

Nothing was too much trouble when asking for advice whether it was to do with my latch, oversupply, different feeding positions, and dealing with re-occurring blocked milk ducts.

I am now a year into our breastfeeding journey and it wouldn’t have been possible to achieve this without Carla’s fantastic professional care and expertise.

We were referred to Carla due to Mila Bee being too sleepy to feed after having Jaundice in the first few days of her life, resulting in her not gaining enough weight. Carla taught us some techniques that I hadn't seen even after hours and hours of looking for tips on Google! After just a few days Mila Bee was back to her birth weight and waking up a lot more because she had so much more energy. Carla was so informative and also her gentle and friendly attitude made the situation a lot easier for us as new (and emotional!) parents. I didn't want her to leave! Now Mila Bee is six weeks old and thriving, and it's all thanks to Carla’s knowledge. I cannot recommend her enough.

If it wasn’t for Carla, my breastfeeding journey would have ended within the first few weeks of my baby being born. After seeing many midwives and seeking support, Carla was the only person that was able to get my baby to latch consistently... she is a superwoman! She was so supportive and helped me to overcome many problems that kept occurring during the first few months of my breastfeeding journey. Even when feeling at my lowest, Carla was so positive that things would improve and that it would become the easiest thing in the world if I persevered with it. Eight months on I am still exclusively breastfeeding my baby. When I look back I can’t believe the struggles I had with it as now it’s the easiest, most natural thing. I am so pleased I persevered with it through the initial struggles. When she looks up at me and smiles it is just amazing.

I’m forever thankful to Carla and always talk about how she is the breastfeeding superstar!
